I remember Curtis always loved his horses, and kept a smile and never tried to belittle anyone.his main focus was to teach those who would listen about life. RIP

Wendell's Obituary

Mr. Wendell Curtis Whittingto, Sr., 73, of Beaumont, Texas passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2022 in Beaumont, Texas.

The Celebration Services for Mr. Whittington will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Borden Chapel Baptist Church (3495 Roland Road - Beaumont, Texas 77708) with burial Service to follow at Anthony Cemetery in Beaumont, Texas under the directions of Mercy Funeral Home. Public viewing will be held for Mr. Whittington on Friday, November 18, 2022 from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 p.m. at Mercy Funeral Home Chapel and on Saturday morning from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the church. With the practice of Social Distancing and Facial Masks required.

Wendell’s memories will forever remain in the hearts of his loving wife, Ruthie Whittington; father, Robert Whittington, Sr.; four sons, Wendell Whittington, Jr., Derrick Dudley, Sr. (ReShun), Christopher Dudley, Sr. and Timothy Dudley; three daughters, Marjorie Dourisseau, Jennifer Burkes and Jacqueline Trimble; four brothers, Robert Whittington, Jr., Archie Whittington, Sr., Cleveland Whittington, Sr. and James Whittington; one sister, Beverly Whittington; one God-brother, Henry Whittington, Jr.; God-daughter, Brittney Williams; seventeen grandchildren, Shonta Hall, Tamerka Cassimere, Edmund Burkes, Jeremiah Burks, Courtney Carradine, Kambry Carradine, Michael Carradine, Jr., Durrell Whittington, Kenya Whittington, Derrica Dudley, Derrick Dudley, Destiny Dudley, Christopher Dudley, Jr., Rashard Dudley, Miracle Dudley, Skye Dudley and Yuri Dudley; fourteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
