To the family of Willa Mae Newsome, we are thinking about you and praying God will give you peace and understanding. Willa was a sweet person and very talkative whenever you met her anywhere. She could make you laugh at the drop of a dime and always had a kind word to speak. She will be missed by many, but most of all she is getting her rest with her Lord and savior. Cynthia and Quentin you have a lot of memories to think of for years to come. May you both be blessed.

                  Willa Mae Newsome

Willa Mae loved and lived a wonderful life. She danced. She laughed. She was an avid gardener and world traveler. 

She is preceded by her Husband of 56 years, Ford Newsome Jr, Mother Susie Mae Lumpkins, Father Roosevelt Lumpkins, Birth Father Frank Dew, Brother Grover McBride Sr., Sister in Law Janice McBride and Great Grandson S’Amir Baldwin. 

She leaves behind her Brother William “Bill” Bell, Daughter Cynthia Yvette Newsome, Son Quentin Newsome, Daughter in Law Daneen Bigstaff, Granddaughters Shalise Yvette Newsome, Shalaya Newsome, Shamarra Newsome, Mikayla Newsome, Great Granddaughters Mi’Niyah Reid, Mi’Liyah Reid, Devoted Cousin Jennifer Milliner, Devoted Nephew Carlton McBride, Niece Deborah McBride, Niece Willie Mae Williams, Niece Tosha Newsome, Brother in Law Nathaniel Newsome, Sister in Law Betty Newsome, Sister in Law Elaine Holley, Loving Friends Janice Williams, Margaret Lindsey, Brenda Barnes, Wilbert Singletary, Carol Dawson and her Pastor Linda Taylor, Godchildren Charlene Johnson, Glenda Sheppard, Wesley Gribble and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 

Willa Mae was a graduate of Aliquippa High School, Retired Nurse of Aliquippa Hospital and continued her service to the Aliquippa Community through numerous initiatives. 

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. A private send off was held; according to her wishes.
