Willard's Obituary

Willard Presley, age 91, of Laurel Hill, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026. He was born on February 2, 1934, the son of Hubert Presley and Geanie Harrison Presley.

Willard was a man defined by work, responsibility, and character. He worked as a manager of a cold storage warehouse in Andalusia for over 36 years, where he was deeply respected by his coworkers for his integrity, leadership, and willingness to serve in every way asked of him. His work ethic was steady and dependable, and his word was trusted.

In addition to his full-time career, Willard was a lifelong farmer. He raised soybeans and cattle and was rarely seen without work to do. Always on a tractor and always moving, he was a man who believed in the value of honest labor. Idleness was never part of his life.

Nothing mattered more to Willard than his family. He passed down the same strong work ethic, integrity, and character that guided his own life to his sons and daughter. Later in life, Willard found his faith in Jesus Christ, a decision he never regretted and one that brought him lasting peace.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Manning Presley; his parents; his son, Scott Presley; his brothers, Theron Presley, Lavaugh Presley, and Herbert Presley; and his sisters, Anice Coon, Mary Agnes Clary, Mary Magdalene Covington, and Edith Clary.

He is survived by his sons, Brian Presley (Tracy), Terrell Presley, (Dan) ; his daughter, Sharon Miller (Darrell); his sister, Janice Pollard; his grandchildren, Maddisyn Jones (Gavin), Aaron Presley (Krystal), Adrienna Odom (Brandon), Chase Miller, and Leighanna Wilkerson (Travis); and his great-grandchildren, Branton, Traleigh, Lakyn, Kolter, Rylee, and Chloe.

To his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he was lovingly known as “Paw Paw,” a name he cherished deeply.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Johnny White and Zach Spader will officiate. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
