Not sure what to say?

Bill Barlage was one of the finest people I ever met. He was a great human being, an excellent professor of chemical engineering, and one of my closest friends. I miss him and think of him often. He was my mentor, professor, and friend. One of the nicest and best human beings I have ever known.

so sorry for your loss conne

Cheryl and family,
Jerry and I were very saddened to learn Bill had passed away. He was such a precious soul. I will never forget the day he came over and first saw "Sophie". He immediately fell for her and she for him ...true puppy love. Jerry was fortunate enough to have lunch with Bill not long ago and talked "shop". I have a framed poster Bill gave me of the cockpit of a Cessna 172 he brought me when he learned I was taking flying lessons. He was always so thoughtful. Bill will be...

To Sheryl and Billy and your families. The entire Palmer family has multiple great memories of both your mom and dad. I recently saw your dad at the drugstore and we had a pleasant conversation about our families. He always wanted to know how others were doing. We are so sorry for your loss, and our prayers are with you all.

What a precious man! I thoroughly enjoyed my time with "Dad" these last few months. I loved talking to him about his interesting past, his hobbies and about the Lord. Our last time together was on a Sunday when we read the Psalms together and listened to one of his favorite Psalms put to music that he had sung in the choir. He absolutely loved it! I was blessed!

As a student and long-term friend of Bill Barlage, my wife, Karen, and I find it very sad and difficult to say goodbye to one of the best friends we ever had. We treasure the time we spent with him traveling around the country to visit universities and chemical engineering departments of his choice. We will both miss him more than we can possibly describe. Wade Ponder, Raleigh, NC, Chemical Engineering class of 1963

Sheryl and Billy, our condolences. We always enjoyed our interactions with Bill and know there will a big hole in your lives.

Sheryl and Billy - so sorry to hear of your loss. Your parents were precious. I'm reminded of Aunt Mamie and Uncle Bob. I still miss them dearly. Remember the fun we had as children growing up there? You are in our thoughts and prayers. Keep your eyes on Jesus. Love and miss you.

Dr. Barlage (Bullet Bill) was a good friend and supporter of the ChE Class of '63! We will miss him very much when we return to Clemson for our Reunions!
