William "Bill" R. Rekus

I think about Bill often. I worked with Bill when he was on the Village Board. I so enjoyed his perspective on the issue of the day. There were many. His pragmatic approach to solving problems, I surmised, was the way he conducted his life. He was a gentle soul and I thoroughly enjoyed the time we worked together. So sorry to hear of Mr. Rekus passing. My heart goes out to all his family and friends. I will never forget our rides to school, and your fatherly presence in my life as a kid growing up. Heaven gained an angel. RIP Mr. Rekus

My thoughts & prayers to the Rekus family! I had the privilege of knowing him as the pageant liaison for the Mundelein Community Days! Such a big heart and a truly wonderful man. I will miss seeing you at the Mundelein Days my friend. Rest In eternal Peace.
