Mike, Linda And David and all of Bill's family.........We are so sorry to hear about Bill. Wow.....what a little character he was...We have lots of memories through the years....so many funny ones too. I was telling Linda last night I wish I could have seen Bill again but now I think....I have the best memory to remember him. He was sitting at the kitchen table drinking coffee with Rosemary, Linda and me and me and Linda was laughing at his teaseing. He really was a sweet little fella...

William's Obituary

William M. Bowles, Sr, 90, of Chesterfield, died peacefully with his family at his side on Saturday, October 5, 2013. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Rosemary O. Bowles and son, William M. Bowles, Jr.. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Draffin and her husband, Doug; sons, Michael T. Bowles and his wife, Debbie, David E. Bowles and his wife, Rhonda; sister, Nellie Jones; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Mr. Bowles was a WWII U.S. Army veteran. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2013. His funeral will be held at the graveside on Thursday at 10 a.m. in Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that contributions be made to the Hospice of Virginia Richmond Care Team 1700 Bayberry Ct. Suite 300 Richmond, VA 23226.
