William V. Briggs, Jr

William V. Briggs, Jr, 53, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 1, 2025 at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. He was born on September 4, 1971 in Johnson City, NY. 

William is survived by his sons, William Briggs, III, Brandon Briggs, and Jayden Montonya; mother, Linda Collins of Friendsville, PA; sisters, Jessica (Allen) Collins Brozonis of Lawton, PA, Jennifer (Keith) Breeze Mudge of Johnson City, NY, Cassandra (Shawn) Smith of Livermore, IA, Angela Sweet of Lawton, IA, brothers, Bradley (Tonya) Dahl of Rolfe, IA, and Robert (Kim) Wilkinson of Kennewick, WA; close nephews, Nicholas and Brock Darling, Terrence and Allen, Jr. Brozonis, and Christian and Cobey Breeze as well as several other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, William Briggs, Sr. 

He was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He loved his Pittsburgh Steelers and two dogs. He served in the National Guard earlier in his life and had a strong passion for his country.  He enjoyed being with his friends and family. 

A Memorial Service for William will be held on Saturday, September, 6, 2025 at 5pm at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, 232 S. Main St. Montrose.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3-5pm prior to the service. Burial will be held privately in the Johnson Family Cemetery.
