William F. Casey

William F. Casey, age 83, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025. Born in Wilmington, DE on October 2, 1941, he was the son of the late Cornelius, Sr. and Mary Jane (Bones) Casey.

A graduate of Archmere Academy and the University of Delaware, Bill held many jobs ranging from the US Postal Service, Continental American Life Insurance Company, Casey Employment Agency (no relation) and as an occasional model, until finding his true calling as a teacher in the Delaware public school system for close to 20 years. Bill served in the Delaware National Guard and would speak frequently of patrolling his beloved Wilmington streets during the riots of 1968. Until recent years, Bill could be seen walking every day on Park Drive along the Brandywine River or along Delaware Avenue to the YMCA for his daily workout. Bill was most proud of, and wanted to be remembered as, a good son and brother.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen Krasnick and his brother, Cornelius Casey, Jr.

No services will be held, and interment will be private.
