To the Doherty family. Billy, Kathy, and Bobby I'm so very sorry to hear about the passing of your dear Dad. I have such fond memories of him back in the day when we were in High School together Bill, and following years later! He was always so kind and welcoming. I am verysorry for the loss of your Dad. He will always be with you and never forgotten.

William J. Doherty, Jr., of Medford and formerly of Somerville and Arlington, passed away at his home on April 1, 2022. Born and raised in Somerville, he was the son of Helen (Collins) and William J. Doherty.
The beloved husband of Mary (Kelly) Doherty and the late Agnes (Killilea) Doherty, he was the devoted father of Kathy P. McCormack and her husband Ted of Woburn, Bill Doherty, III and his partner Bill Jacinto of Wells, ME and Bob Doherty of Woburn. Cherished Papa of Teddy and Kara McCormack. Dear brother of Rita Brown, Marge Russell, Joseph Doherty and the late Jack and Marie Doherty. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Funeral Procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Friday at 10:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, Medford at 11:30AM. Relatives and friends invited to attend.

Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington.
