Abbott family, so very very sorry to hear about Billy. I didn't have many friends in school but he was 1 of them. A guy that would do anything for you anytime. What a great guy.

How comforting to know that God is near to those who are grieving to "revive the spirit of the lowly ones and to revive the heart of the ones being crushed" (Isaiah 57:15) We hope these words can provide comfort and strengthen your family during this difficult time.

William Edward "Bill" Abbott Jr., 52, of Sycamore, Illinois, formerly of Cortland, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at home, with his family present.Born December 21, 1963, in DeKalb, the son of William and Terri (Lewis) Abbott, Bill married Michelle Moos on June 30, 2005, in SycamoreBill worked for Alexander Lumber. He loved the outdoors and was an avid Dale Earnhardt Sr. fan.He is survived by his wife, Michelle; parents, William Abbott Sr. and Terri Abbott of Cortland; daughter, Stephanie (Bill) Heyer and grandsons, Bryce and Christofer Heyer, of Rockford; sister, Connie (Mark) Lee; his grandmother, Jean Lewis; stepsons, Adam Wold and Eric (Rebecca) Moos; several aunts, uncles and cousins; a niece; a nephew; a great-niece; a great-nephew; and his "little boy, Bear," his cat.He was preceded in death by his son, Kristofer Abbott; maternal grandfather; paternal grandparents; several aunts and uncles; and his best friend, Jake.A celebration of life will be held at a later date.In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the William E.
