FIHE, WILLIAM "BILLY" passed away on June 10, 2018 at the age of 81 after a long illness. Billy was born in 1937, the year of the "Great Flood". He is the son of the late Bernard and Cathern (Kelly) fihe. Billy was employed for 48 years at Southern Graphics / Gravier. As a young boy, Billy was a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church where he graciously served as an Altar Boy. Billy always loved the Church. Later Billy became a member of St. Leonard Catholic Church. Billy's faith as a devoted Catholic helped him thru his long illness. Billy faithfully watched the Mass of the Air. Billy LOVED, LOVED, LOVED his University of Louisville Women's Basketball team, where he was a season ticket holder and a volunteer during the games. Billy had a passion for reading, golfing, playing pool and darts. Billy was a Home Shopping Network Guru. He bought several of the same items because he had to have the latest version and he didn't open the boxes when they were delivered. During his illness, he took pride in feeding his beautiful hummingbirds whom he called his babies. Anyone who had the honor to know Billy, knew he was a fashionista. He took pride in his style and desire for jewelry. Billy was the youngest of eight siblings, who all predeceased him. He would not have it any other way. The last to be born and the last to pass away. Billy is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. A special thank you to the St. Mary and Elizabeth's Volunteer Chaplain service, the third floor I.C.U. and all the hospital Doctors and Nurses. "I want to thank my beloved niece and caregiver for her love, compassion and devotion during the years, especially during my illness. Thank you Little Bit and I want to thank a special friend who I miss, you know who you are." Billy served in the United States Army, stationed in Korea from 1955-1977. Billy attended St. Xavier High School before volunteering for the draft and then finishing his education by graduating from Ahrens High School at the age of 28.Visitation will be held from 2-8 PM with a prayer vigil at 4:30 PM on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison at Barret Avenues.
