WILLIAM “JIM”'s Obituary

            William Leon Willett, Jr., “Jim,” 75, of Henderson, Kentucky, died Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at St. Vincent Evansville.

            He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.  Jim was a retired United Mine Worker and a certified welder and retired from Carpenter’s Local # 958.  He was also a U.S. Navy veteran.  Jim was a member of Jerusalem Masonic Lodge No. 9, a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of Scottish Rite, and a Rizpah Shriner.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren, watching them play sports, and doing things for them and his son, Scott.

            He was preceded in death by his parents, William Leon Willett, Sr., and Dalores Willett.

            Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Dianne; one son, Scott Willett and his wife, Amy, of Henderson, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Drake Willett, Bryce Willett, and Anna Willett; three sister, Ann Merrick, Elaine Lewis and her husband, Glenn, and Kay Sheffer, all of Uniontown, Kentucky; and nieces and nephews.

            Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.  Father Larry McBride will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Uniontown, Kentucky, with full military rites performed by American Legion Worsham Post No. 40.

            Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home where Masonic services will be held at noon Friday.

            Pallbearers will be Scott Willett, Drake Willett, Bryce Willett, Butch Oldham, Frank Trovato, and Brandon Shoulders.
