The Legacy of William Frank Jones

Mr. William “Frank” Jones was born June 18, 1956, in Monticello, Florida, to the late Jennie Mae Thompson Jones and John Smith Jones, Sr.

Realizing the importance of the Word when Jesus said, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God,” Frank accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and served as a member at Bethel AME Church in Monticello, FL.

Frank received his education in the Jefferson County Public School System. After graduation, he pursued a career in the United States Army. After his military career, Frank worked multiple jobs before working as a maintenance supervisor at Maclay Schools, where he worked for thirty years.

When Frank and his wife Deborah Teate were united in holy matrimony on February 12, 1980, they made the commitment to love and cherish one another "until death do us part.”

Frank was known for his sporty vehicles and for spending quality time with his family. On April 4th, while at home surrounded by loved ones, Frank accepted his Master’s Call.

Frank leaves behind his love and legacy that will live on forever in the hearts of his wife, Deborah D. Jones; three sons, Jarret (Gracelynn) Jones, Sr., William “Meek” (Chenelle) Jones and Nathaniel Lewis all of Monticello, FL; a daughter, LaShauna Cummings of Euless, TX; grandchildren, Janée Jones, Jarret Jones Jr., Jarrod Jones, Amariyah Hills, and Tyran Jones all of Monticello, FL; brothers, Pastor John S.
