All my condolenes to the Lester family.My Dad was married to Bill's motner-in-law.We had many wonderful Christmas partys with all the Lesters and Donohos.Bill was always there with Altrise.He was quite the joker.Will never forget when I loss my son Bill came to visitation.Rest in peace Bill..

William Lester of Grass Lake, age 89, passed away on March 29, 2019, surrounded by his family. William was born on December 21, 1929 to James and Mildred Lester. William was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of forty years, Mrs. Altris Lester, and daughter Linda K. Riske. He is survived by sons Steve (Betsy), James, William (Carol) Lester; grandchildren Johnny Riske, Morgan Warner, Denton Nicholas, Julia Nicholas, Jimmy (Tiffany) Lester, Cody (Brittany) Lester, Billy (Angie) Lester, Shannon (Josh) Pelham and 8 great grandchildren. William was in the United States Army serving his country in the Korean War. He retired as a Teamster truck driver and after his retirement he helped start the Lester Brothers portable toilet business. William had many hobbies; he enjoyed gardening and his cattle. He had a great interest in the Stock Market and loved visiting flea markets and wheeling and dealing. He enjoyed time spent with his family and will be truly missed. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8 P.M at Sherwood Funeral Home, Grass Lake. Funeral services will be at 11A.M. Wednesday April 3, 2019 at the FAHOLA Conference Center, 3000 Mt. Hope Road, and Grass Lake with the Rev. John White officiating. Interment Roseland Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home.
