William Robert “Bill” Morrison Jr.
January 4, 1931 – June 12, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William Robert Morrison Jr, known lovingly as Bill, who died peacefully on June 12, 2025, at the age of 94.
Beloved husband of the late Virginia Morrison, Bill was a devoted father to Brian Morrison (Kim Perry), Karen Morrison, Kathy Crosby, Diane (Ron) Brown, and Sandy (Glenn) Cairns. He was a proud grandfather to Brian Morrison Jr. (Jess Krasinski), Chris Sloan (Dr. Amanda Bacckus), Jacob Shane (Christine Monk), Eric Cairns, Brandon Brown (Ondreya Newill), and Tyler Brown. He was also a cherished great-grandfather to Zackary Morrison, Kyle Morrison, Kiara Hill, and Brian W. Morrison III.
Bill had a knack for keeping his hands and mind busy. He loved jigsaw puzzles, LEGO sets, and K’NEX builds—though he had strong opinions about how they should be done. He took great pride in seeing his grandkids build things, but if they strayed from the instructions, he was quick to say, “That’s not how it goes!”
A fan of history and detail, Bill enjoyed watching war movies—especially The Sinking of the Bismarck—and never missed a chance to catch a New York Mets game. He kept an immaculate yard and a well-ordered home, taking pride in every detail. If someone helped with yardwork, he was always nearby to supervise—often pointing out, “You missed that,” if a leaf, weed, or twig escaped attention.
Bill will be remembered for his steady presence, and deep pride in his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love and generations of warm memories.
Bill was a proud U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, serving his country with honor and dedication. His quiet strength and sense of duty continued throughout his life in all he did.
He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
