William E. Pattyn, 97, of Scottsdale, Arizona formerly of Tempe entered into eternal life on January 15, 2017 in Scottsdale. William a retired General Contractor and Army veteran was born May 5, 1919 in Detroit, Michigan. He moved to Arizona in 1981 from Illinois. William is survived by his sons, Steven Pattyn, daughters, Linda Sather, and Cynthia Pattyn; grandchildren, Nicholas Coons, Jena Yates, Daniel Coons, Jared Coons, Kayla Peterson, Jessica Coons-Ramsey,Shannon Walsh, Jessica Sather, Hope McCormick, Justin Pattyn and Josh Pattyn. Funeral Mass will be 9:30 a.m., Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 2121 South Rural Road in Tempe. Arrangements entrusted to Tempe Mortuary.
