Ritter, Sr., 58 who died Sunday, January 19, 2014 in New Iberia.A lifelong resident of New Iberia, ?Bill? was born on November 5, 1955, and worked as a diesel mechanic for B & L Engine Service, Darby Motors, and Dauterive Contractors. He enjoyed dirt track racing, woodworking, camping, sports, and fishing.Survivors include his daughter, Angela Sue Ritter and fiancé Rufus Dupuy, Jr. of New Iberia; son, Bobby Lee Ritter and wife Linda of Arnaudville; step father, Monroe Darby of New Iberia; brothers, Ervin Ritter of Lafayette, Andrew Darby of Texas, Michael Darby of New Iberia; sisters, Susan Bibaeff of Lafayette, Kathleen Temple of Texas; former wife, Debra Romero of Arnaudville; and his beloved dog, ?Scrappy Doo?.He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Heyne Darby; sons, William Howard Ritter, Jr., and Shawn Ryan Ritter.Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd., New Iberia, LA 70560, 337.365.3331, is in charge of arrangements.
