Beloved husband of Carolyn Gail Triplett (née Evans); dearest father of Michelle (Timothy) Stone, David (Kimberly) Triplett and Craig (Jessica) Triplett; dear grandfather of Jack and Evan Stone, Carson, Annabelle, Parker and Mason Triplett; loving son of the late Marshall and Violet Triplett (née Pardieck); brother of Robert (Sam) Triplett; brother-in-law of Ronald (Christine) Evans, Keith (Nancy) Evans, Richard (Nancy) Evans and the late Raymond Evans, Claude (Mary Ann) Evans and Brian (survived by Maggie) Evans; our dear uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend of many.
William "Bill" Triplett, a man whose life was characterized not by grand declarations but by a steady and unwavering pursuit of purpose, has passed away peacefully, now in the presence of his Heavenly Father. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Bill exemplified relentless dedication and quiet strength. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and faith that will continue to guide his family.
Bill proudly served in the Air Force from 1960 to 1964, stationed at Selfridge Air Force Base near Mount Clemens, Michigan. His time in the service instilled in him a sense of discipline and duty that shaped the rest of his life, demonstrating his profound commitment to something larger than himself.
When he transitioned to IBM, where he found a community. For four decades, his work as a Technical Support Engineer was not merely about fixing computers; it was about building connections. He forged friendships that stood the test of time, sharing in daily routines and milestones with those who became like family. These lifelong bonds are a testament to his character and the profound impact he had on everyone he met.
In his final days, Bill held on to the belief that life is not just a series of accidents but a grand, divine plan. He passed into heaven peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Gail; his children; and his grandchildren, whom he adored. The family extends a special thank you to Gail for her unwavering support and care throughout his life.
Services: Visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 567 St. Joseph Lane, Manchester, Friday, August 29, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at a later date. If desired, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
