Not sure what to say?

So saddened and filled with the joy of having known and had W.D. Thomason as pastor and friend in Smyrna in the early 80s!! To Mark and Jackie, blessings!! He taught me the unbridled love and faithfulness of God and how to walk by the Spirit!

I had no idea. My heart is broken. Like so many others, I can't begin to describe what this man meant to me and my family. He was our pastor, friend, confidant and so very much more. I've never met a more Godly man. He was the same person cutting the grass as he was in the pulpit. I look forward to seeing him again, at the foot of the cross. My love and condolences to the family. I love you Momma Jackie.

Jackie, my heart goes out to you praying for your comfort during this time of sorrow.

God has blessed me with His peace and God will do that for you too

My memories go back to First Baptist Church of Joelton and Brother Thomason's time there.
I can't imagine a better caretaker of a congregation, any congregation, than Brother Thomason.
I'll also never forget that during Covid, with all the restrictions on public gatherings, Jackie and he were there for my mother's services. If anyone ever finds a better example of the connectivity of the Christian community I hope they'll share this message with the next person they meet.

W D was one of the finest people I have ever known. His heart for God, love for his family and desire to minister was such a beautiful picture of Jesus love.

Sorry for your loss. WD was a man of God. He will be missed.

Our family was certainly blessed to have been a part of Green Hill Church during W.D.'s tenure there. He was a great man of God; that fact was evident in everything he said and did. Our prayers are with Jackie and family.

Sympathy and prayers for all family and friends. The ole saying goes “our loss is Heavens Gain” A friendly, quiet, humble spirit, if I ever met one. A “People person”with the gift to expound on Gods word that even a child could understand. Always a smile on his face and encouragement in his speech. He will be missed by many but by Gods Grace the Circle won’t be broken.

I am thankful for the leadership of Bro. Thomason the times he served FBC of Woodbury. His influence lives on!
