I am so sorry to read here about the death of William Wancea. He was a wonderful artist, and a talented one. He was a kind man. May he rest in peace.

Was fortunate to have known "Bill" since The Newark School of Fine & Industrial Art in the late 60' s... and after achieving his BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art when he studied under the late Samuel Breecher of NYC- his Mentor. Later we ventured out on sojourns/lively conversations around the town of Cranford . He was a proud gentleman whose reserved quick wit served him well - almost to the point of no return. William's Obituary

William J. Wancea, 72, of Lincoln Park, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 21, 2018.Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Visitation at the Werson Funeral Home, 635 N. Wood Ave., Linden, on Monday, November 26 from 6 - 8 pm.  A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 pm.  

          Mr. Wancea was born in Elizabeth to Frank and Anna (Tempalsky) Wancea.  He graduated from the Newark School of Fine arts and the Maryland Institute of Art.  He lived in Winfield Park, prior to moving to Lincoln Park several years ago.

          Mr. Wancea was a Graphic Artist working in Advertising for many years, retiring several years ago.   

          Mr. Wancea was the loving brother of Frank Wancea, the late Michael Wancea and the late Dorothy Voccia; the dear uncle of Salvatore Voccia, Mark Wancea and Lara Wancea.
