Willie Lee Ellis was born to the parentage of L.J. Ellis and Dorothy Lee El-lis on May 12,1949 in Riverside, CA. He was the third of eleven children and was surrounded by a large family.
Will received his education from elementary to high school from Plano and Dallas Independent School Districts. Later graduating from, James Madison High School in Dallas, Texas Class of 1967.
He was a devoted father of two children. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior at an early age and united with Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Plano, Texas.
Will was always an extremely hard worker and joined the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. Upon returning, he worked at Capital Wire and Collin Radio. He later relocated to Las Vegas and retired from the Las Vegas Independent School District in 2001.
Will is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Lee Ellis; father, L.J. Ellis; beloved daughter, Angela Proctor; brothers, Edward Ellis, Jeffrey Dabbs, James Ellis (Stinky), George Michael; sisters, Marian Jackson, Terri Timon, Helen Neal; and his precious pup, Honey.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved daughter, Catavia Stance; daughters in love, Kourtney Upshur and Krystal Skinner (Las Vegas, NV); grandchildren, Courtney Jackson, Trevion Ellis, Kiera Brantley, Juan Thomas, Jada Ellis; two great-grandchildren, Amari Smith and Ada Noel; sisters, Carol Drake and Mikki Burns (Herman); brother, Jay Michael Ellis; special niece, Gracie Ellis; best friend, Kenneth Davis; and a host of nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Will may be gone from our sight, but he will never gone from our hearts.
