I love you Paw Paw. We had some great times and some great laughs. I miss you dearly.

Willie, I am so sorry that I did not know that you had passed away 1-1/2 years ago. I don't read the obituary pages. On today, 6/21/20, fathers' day, I find this oh, so sad news. I am crying buckets of tears for you at this moment.

Willie's Obituaries

Willie Junius McCall, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at West Jefferson Medical Center at the age of 85. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Willie was a retired maintenance worker with Avondale Shipyard for over 25 years and Cutcher Canning Company for over 30 plus years.

Loving and devoted husband of Virginia Riley McCall. Beloved father of Willie, Jr. (Claiece), Tyron (the late De’ Los Angeles) of El Paso,TX , Corey (Regina) McCall, Leroy Eric Washington, and the late Anasthesia Johnson and Bryant McCall. Grandfather of the late Consuella Washington. Great grandfather of the late Devonte’ Lewis. Son of the late Julius and Mildred Smith McCall. Brother of the late Zenobia Flemings, Barbara M. Stamps, Roland McCall, and Frank “Bill” McCall. Brother in law of Alfred Stamps, Jr., Isaiah Moses, and Vivian Ellison. Godfather of Milton Windsor, also survived by 21 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Second Highway Baptist Church, Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church, True Vine Baptist Church, Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Morning Star Baptist Church and neighboring churches; employees of JPRD Avondale Playground, Capital Pawn, Instacart in San Francisco, CA, Preferred Distribution Service El Paso, TX, United States Post Office, and Ochnser Medical Center are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Highway Baptist Church 1533 Haydel Dr. Marrero, LA on Saturday, January 12, 2019 for 10:00a.m.

Visitation beginning at 8am until service time at the above named church.

Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA.
