Willie Edward Small Sr., 72, of Roanoke, passed away Monday, December 26, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Small; father, Willie Small; mother, Harriet Small and sister, Bertha Hairston.
He is survived by his son, Willie Small Jr.; daughter, Cindy Small Saunders; granddaughter, Jasmine Small; great- granddaughter, Journie Poindexter; brothers, Leroy Small and Benjamin Small; sisters, Harriet Patterson, Mary Williams, Diane Richardson and Shelia Bryant; a host of other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, December 31, 2016, at Central Baptist Church, 1502 Staunton Ave. NW, Roanoke, VA with the Rev. Joseph A. Keaton officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment will be in Williams Memorial Park. Friends may call on Friday afternoon for viewing at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.
