Services for Mr. Willie M. Vaughn, Sr., 78 of Longview, will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Willie Mae Craig Chapel (located in Craig Funeral Home).WILLIE MEED VAUGHN, also known as "Kat Mann" was born April 11, 1939 to LulaMae Vaughn (mother) and Woodrow Vaughn (father) of Karnack, Texas. He was one of two children of the household.He graduated from Mary C. Womack here in Longview, Texas, on the South side of Longview. Then later he pursued in his career of being a light weight boxer, where he was ranked one of the top ten in his division. He was also a loyal and dedicated worker at Norton Concrete of Gregg County.He is preceded in death by his father and brother N. L. Vaughn.Loving memories will be cherished by his mother, Lula M. Vaughn of Longview, TX; one sister, Mattie Fort of Longview, TX; one brother, Clavin Williams and sister-in-law, Lisa Williams of Longview, TX; six daughters, Debra Washington of Longview, TX, Danette Vaughn, Cherrie Vaughn Spencer, Regina Vaughn, Rhonda Vaughn, LaTasha Vaughn Conner all of Dallas, TX; two sons, Willie M. Vaughn Jr. of Dallas, TX and George Vaughn (Boylang) of Longview, TX. He also has one niece, 13 grandkids, 26 great-grandkids and a total of 2 great grand dogs, Casino and Max; several other family members and love ones who are not mentioned.
