We are so sorry for your loss. Bill was such a fun and jolly person to be around. He was such a help when I had my business. Memories of our great times on the golf course will always be cherished. Heaven gained an angel. God Bless you all.

Bill Turpin was an amazing man. He was my supervisor and I was also proud to call him my friend. His wife and sisters were an amazing support team for him.
Rest easy now Bill. You will indeed be missed by all who knew you.

Willis (Bill)'s Obituary

Willis (Bill) Edward Turpin Jr., 63, of Dublin, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016. Bill’s zest for life and fun loving spirit left its mark on everyone who knew him, and the many who called him “friend,” were blessed by his kindness and generosity.

Bill was born and raised in West Chester, Penn., and graduated from Carson Long Military Academy. A long-time resident of the New River Valley, Bill was retired from Volvo Trucks.

Bill’s passions included entertaining friends in his “Tavern,” shag dancing with his wife Linda, golfing with friends and bragging on his daughter Natalie and his grandchildren Caroline, Elsie and Vivienne. One of Bill’s greatest gifts was bringing out the best in people – he injected fun into every gathering and encouraged friends to relax and enjoy life alongside him.

In recent years, Bill enjoyed turning wood and his exquisite pieces were showcased in art galleries and treasured by those who received them as gifts.

Bill was a faithful member of Fairlawn Baptist Church. He was a committed Christian who loved the Lord and his church family.

Bill will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife and the love of his life, Linda C. Turpin; beloved daughter Natalie T. Dalton of Richmond; mother Dorothy T. Ford of West Chester, Penn.; step-daughter and son-in-law Michelle S. and David Lehman and his grandchildren Caroline, Elsie and Vivienne Lehman of Alexandria; sisters and brothers-in-law Sherry and Stephen Byers of Lewistown, Penn., Cathy Kauffman and John Calhoun of Phoenixville, Penn., and Terri and Edward Frank of Cochranville, Penn.; and nieces and nephews Bryan and Keith Byers, Tracey White and Heather and Chelsea Frank.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, at Fairlawn Baptist Church with Rev. Gregory Harrell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Fairlawn Baptist Church or the Pulaski County Humane Society.

The Turpin family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford, Va. www.mullinsfuneralhome.com.
