I've remember this night like yesterday. How we laughed about being grown grown.

I'm am saddened to hear about Wilma. She was not just a friend, but more like family to me. We were co-workers and became friends. We were always doing something together until she moved away. And even then if I went to Austin we met up to go eat and catch up. I called her in December as I had not talk to her in a bit and she told me she was back in Houston. I was low-key mad I didn't know. I last text her in May to check on her and of course she said she was good. She was never one to...

We spent many years of sharing our lives together. She was such an inspiration to my daughters. I will truly miss her .Gone but never forgotten

In loving memory of a wonderful person. Cousin Wilma, I will love you and miss you always.

Wilma's Obituary

Wilma Yvonne Allen was born September 18, 1959, in Beaumont, Texas, to Wilbert and Lois Allen. Wilma was raised in Beaumont and graduated from Beaumont-Charlton-Pollard High School in 1978; she received her Associates Degree in Office Administration from Lamar University in 1981.

Wilma grew up at St. John's Baptist Church in Beaumont; after graduation, she worked at Gulf States Utility Company, where she met Odis Shaw. Wilma married Odis in 1986, and they moved to Houston. After their divorce in 2013, Wilma moved to Austin, Texas.

Wilma was the baby girl in her family and was much loved. She was the favorite Auntie who cooked and baked "whatever" her nephews or nieces wanted, always remembering their birthdays, attending their graduations and any special events. Wilma was thoughtful and loved helping others.

Wilma loved "going out to eat," in her spare time. She also, liked going to the movies, watching the Hallmark channel, and old game shows. Wilma was aa excellent cook and made delicious desserts, which all enjoyed.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert and Lois Allen; sisters, Clemotine "Tina" Allen and Elizabeth "Pretty Cat" Biagas; and nephews, Brandon and Brian Biagas.
