We just recently read this and are so deeply sorry for the loss of Bill. He was in our wedding 46 years ago and will always hold a special place in our hearts. Our sympathies to to Karen and her family with love.

William H. "Bill" Leach Sr., 65, of 3711 Lakeshore Drive East Lot 30, Dunkirk, formerly of Westfield, died Monday (October 27, 2014) in Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk. He was born May 8, 1949 in Westfield, NY, the son of the late Wilson and Violet Hess Leach. He was a graduate of Westfield Academy Central School in 1968, and had worked for the Village of Westfield Electric Dept. for 30 years. Bill was a member of the Westfield Moose #118, and the Westfield American Legion. Bill's greatest love in life was his family. He is survived by his wife, Karen Perdue Leach whom he married June 17, 1972 in Mayville; three children, Wilson (Jen) Leach Jr., Brandon (Kim) Leach, and Leighanne (Martin) Swoger; seven grandchildren, Alexandra Leach, Catherine Riforgiata, Christin Tibbetts, Amber Campaign, Brittany Campaign, Kalishia Swoger, and Elizabeth Swoger; one great grandchild, Londyn Wilmont; three sisters, Shirley (Jim) Sanderson, Sandy Leach, and Lynnell Ellis; one brother, Steven Leach. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Sharon Seiter. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 East Chestnut St., Dunkirk, NY 14048. The Freay Funeral Home in Mayville is in charge of arrangements.
