Mr. Winfred “Bebe” Locklear, Jr., age 74, of Dillon, SC, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Pruitt Health Nursing Home in Dillon, SC. He was born in Robeson County on January 2, 1945 to the late Winfred Locklear, Sr. and the late Beulah Locklear.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-son, Milton Hunt; three brothers, Robert Locklear, Jerry Locklear and Billy Locklear; one sister, Shirley Locklear; and a grandchild, Melinda Locklear.
He leaves to cherish his memories with his wife, Veola Hunt Locklear, of the home; three children, Roger Locklear of Rowland, Mary Locklear of Lumberton and Shelly Locklear of the home; the mother of his children, Rosie Locklear of Lumberton; four step-children, Lorraine Worley and Ivelisse Hunt, both of Lumberton and Robin Maynor and Paul Morrison, both of Fairmont; two brothers, James Locklear and Charles Locklear, both of Fairmont; two sisters, Mary Oxendine of Fairmont and Catherine Hammonds of Pembroke; three grandchildren, Meagan Sealey, Marcus Shane Locklear and Makayla Locklear; two great-grandchildren, Miyah Graham AKA MeMe and Zaydyn Locklear, nine step-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members and a very special friend, Tina “Teenie” Grant.
A time of visitation will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2019 from 6:00-8:00PM at Floyd Funeral Service, Inc., 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 15, 2019 at 3:00PM at Dogwood Baptist Church in Rowland with Rev. Tracey Locklear and Rev. Eugene Chavis officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
