Yoshiko's Obituary

Under blossoms' shade

her kindness touched every soul -

the petals remain

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Yoshiko Fulton, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and treasured friend to so many.   She passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 91 on August 3rd, 2025 at home in Sebastopol, CA.

Yoshiko was born and grew up in Japan. She met Edmond Fulton, a United States Air Force Master Seargeant/Warrant Officer.  They married and later moved to the United States. Edmond preceded her in death in 1972, and Yoshiko is survived by her four children - William Fulton, Evelyn Walls, Sandra Ward, and Roy Fulton - their spouses, her thirteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Their lives and achievements are testaments to the values and warmth she instilled in them.

Yoshiko, aka “Yoshi” found joy in art, music, sewing, cooking, gardening, and games like Bingo and cards. She enjoyed interacting with people and easily made friends.

She faced adversity with strength and grace, battling cancer and COPD, yet always seeking solutions and sharing hope. Her legacy of love and resilience continues to inspire us, reminding us to cherish life and support one another. Though we mourn her loss, we celebrate a life well-lived - a life that will always shine brightly in our hearts.

A small gathering will be held at a later date in honor of her memory. Until then, we hold her memory close and honor her by living with the same generosity, joy, and courage she showed every day.
