Zedna Louise Brogdon, age 89, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 3, 2025. She passed peacefully at her home in Burkburnett, Tx surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 5, 1935 in Ft. Worth, Tx to John Lambert Fred Malone and Mary Alice Riley Malone. Louise lived a life full of faith, family and friends. She married the love of her life, Jimmy Roosevelt Brogdon, on December 16, 1955 and was a devoted wife for 63 years before his death on April 25, 2018.
As part of a proud United States Air Force family, Louise was a stay-at-home mom and military wife living across the United States and in Germany. She embraced the challenges and blessings of military life, as she created a warm and welcoming home for family and friends. While the family was stationed in New Hampshire, she began a 30-year civil service career.
Louise was a dedicated Christian whose life reflected her deep faith and love for Jesus. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Burkburnett, and her walk with Christ was evident in the way she lived, loved, and gave to others.
Louise is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jimmy R. Brogdon; her parents, Fred and Mary Malone; her brothers, Eddie and Charles Malone; and her son-in-law Robert Secoy.
She is survived by her children Mike Brogdon and wife Sherri, and Patricia Secoy and husband Robert (deceased); her grandchildren Michelle McCleskey, Rodney McCleskey, Stephanie Byrd, Laura Schlier, Amy Secoy, Jimmy Secoy, AJ Secoy, Kim Mason, and Cody Mason; her great-grandchildren Jake McCleskey, Carson Tournay, Brennen Byrd, Beckett McCleskey, Brookelyn Richter, Hayes Richter, and Noah Mason. Her legacy of love, strength, and devotion will continue to live on in each of them.
The graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 7 @ 10:00 a.m. at the Burkburnett Cemetery with Joe Coombes officiating, and Mindy Beeson, Kathy McCleskey, and Matt McCleskey singing.
