Roy Cowart Obituary
Roy's legacy will be continued and remembered by his two children, Steven Cowart of Austin, Texas, and Cheryl Cowart Davis of Austin, Texas; his grandchildren, Cody Cowart, Mikael Cowart, Taylor Cowart, Spencer Davis and Brandon Davis of Austin, Texas; and sister, Karen Eller of Beaumont, Texas.
Celebration memorial services will be held Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Wesley United Methodist Church, 3515 Helena Ave, Nederland, Texas. Family will be available starting at 1PM, reception following the service.
At Roy's request, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Wesley United Methodist Church "Youth Fund" at 3515 Helena Avenue, Nederland, TX 77627, 409-722-7065 OR made to:St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.

What a great guy!! Roy was one of a kind, loved hunting, fishing, archery and scuba diving. He was one of those men that you can't imagine death ever catching up with him. I hope that we meet again one day. His memory lives on with everyone that ever knew him.

Roy was great to work with in my years in the line department at GSU. I enjoyed our times together duck hunting, tournament archery and scuba diving. Roy was so competitive, at anything from distance throwing, archery and even foot racing a certain distance against a line truck. No matter his age, he was always young at heart. It breaks my heart to learn of his passing. Anyone that ever met Roy, would not forget him. My condolences to Steve and Cheryl. Roy may your soul roam the Heavens in search of adventure!!!!
