It is with deep sorrow I have for the family of a Chain Gang Volunteer. I have heard of this sad event and being a 34 year Hih School football official from up in Kankakee Il, I want to thank Mr Antoine for the many hours he volunteered his time to help Prep football. It would of been a great honor to thank him after a ball game if I had ever had the chance. I will think of him every time I thank a chain gang member form this day forward...

thank you
Tom Longtin IHSA # 13942 and collegiate official

To the Antoine Family-

I just happened to run into Mr. and Mrs. Antoine at Fischer's Restaurant a week ago when my family was in Belleville for a few days, and I got to say hi. After reading the great article on him in the BND I was amazed to find that he was still helping out at ball games at 80. That is absolutely incredible. Mr. Antoine was a man that, simply put, seems to have gotten all that he could out of life.

To all of the Antoines, I am truly, truly sorry for your loss.

To the Antoine Family,
I have fond memories of visits to your home in Belleville. Your dad always made me feel special.
I especially enjoyed listening to his stories(sometime fibs) when he, Jim and your dad returned from a morning of duck hunting at Carlyle lake.
We lost a truly special man this week.
My condolences.

Dear Jackie,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you face this tragedy in your lives.
We will always remember Frank's kind acceptance of Greg as a member of the "trout fishing gang", and the fun they shared at Men's Club.
Greg and I hope that you and your family will draw a small bit of consolation in knowing that Frank died doing something that was his passion, and that now he has now joined the legions of fathers and sports fans in heaven.
Our deepest sympathies to you.
