Benjamin Mayfield Obituary
Benjamin was an amazing cook and was a master at the grill. He loved to hunt and fish. Above all, he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his niece, nephew, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hoy and Edna Mayfield and Perry and Lottie Walker.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Rebecca Diane Mayfield Brister; a niece, Anna Marie Brister; a nephew, Jack McClure Brister; his fiancé, Courtney Cathey; and a number of uncles, aunts, and cousins, relatives, and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, at Sharon Missionary Baptist Church, 402 Shenandoah Drive in Benton, with Bro. Michael Reese conducting.
Interment will follow at Sharon Cemetery with John Hunnicutt, Lee Harris, Gary Pinkerton, Clint Rickett, Cory Rickett, and Kevin Wray serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are all former and current Express Jet Airline pilots.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Feb. 14, 2017, in the chapel of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton 501-315-4047.

We learned from little Jack that Ben had passed. We are so very sorry for your loss. It is hard to imagine the thought of losing a son, but we are praying for strength for your family at this time and in the coming months and years. Our thoughts are with you and our love goes out to you. If there is anything we can do please do not hesitate to ask. God bless you and give you peace.
