Filomena Maciariello Obituary

Filomena Maciariello

1928 - 2014 LENOX Filomena DiLettera Maciariello, 86, of 90 South Main St., died peacefully, early Saturday morning, at her daughter's home in Lenox, after a brief illness. Born in Italy, Jan. 21, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Zona DiLettera, and wife of the late Arturo Maciariello, who died in 1978. Filomena, raised in Casserta, Italy, came to Mechanicville, N.Y., in January 1959, shortly after marrying her husband. She was a homemaker most of her life, who loved all of nature, especially flowers, and had a beautiful garden for many years. She was a member of the Mechanicville Senior Citizens, the Assumption-St. Paul Parish, and the church's Rosary Alter Society. Filomena was a woman of great faith and spent many hours watching Mother Angelica. She enjoyed her bus rides and time spent with friends at McDonalds. Filomena affectionately greeted those she knew and met with, "I love you, I love you, I love you," but saved her greatest love for her family. She was a very special Mother, Nauna, and friend, and will be terribly missed. She is survived by her children, Connie Baker and her husband, Pat, of Mechanicville, Arthur and his wife, Maureen Maciariello, of Saratoga Springs, Maria Swomley and her husband, Mark, of York, Penn., and Rose Ann King and her husband, Kyle, of Lenox; grandchildren, Kimberly Baker and her fiance, Mike, Jackie Grassman and her husband, Steve, Christina, Adam, Jonathan and Luke Swomley and Jared, Joshua, Julia and Justin King, as well as great granddaughters, Bailey and Cadence Grassman. Filomena was predeceased by her son, Laurenzo Maciariello. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., at All Saints on the Hudson South Church, 121 No Main St., Mechanicville, NY 12118, with burial to follow in St. Paul's Cemetery. Calling hours at the church will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. To leave condolences and for directions visit www.devito-salvadorefh.com

RoseAnn & Family,
The moment...the memories of the time you and she shared.... The grace and love in abundance... Show how much you cared.... She may be gone from her physical presence that you cherished everyday... she will continue to bless your lives in so many ways... "Mary" mother of God is smiling even wider... For her beautiful Filomena has come to stand beside her... With "Mother Mary" to hold her close...she will listen to the beautiful words from those that loved her most... As you lay her earthly body to rest... she has been greeted in heaven to those there that love her best... I am sorry for the pain of missing her ...no words can spare you this grief... but know she is with her Heavenly Father... she lived her life with strong belief! Gods blessing.....

My deepest condolences to the entire family and all that knew and loved her. I have the privilege of saying I was raised by this beautiful woman who always showed me love. She was a huge part of my life growing up, she was known as "Gram" to me. She loved so big, and always talked to me about the family what they were doing and how much she loved everyone. She loved me like I was a part of her "blood related" family my whole life. I will cherish the memories that I have with her, hold them close to my heart and never forget her loving spirit. "I love you, I love you, I love you." Sarah
