Olive Volsky Obituary
1924 - 2015 FT. PIERCE, FL Olive H. Volsky died on Sept. 18, 2015 at Treasure Coast Hospice, St. Lucie, due to cancer complications. She was a former employee of General Electric Company, in Pittsfield, MA. Olive was well known in Berkshire County for her oil painting skills, and was a self- taught artist. Her artworks adorn the walls of countless private homes, and are still featured in the Windsor, MA Historical Museum. She was also a talented musician, playing the piano and several stringed instruments equally well. Many will recall her informal concerts and art classes at both her Massachusetts and Florida homes. She is missed by her two sons and their spouses, Peter Utz (Barbara), and Robin Volsky (Mary), and her two grandchildren, and friends. She is predeceased by her parents, Norman and Georgana (Hastings), her ex-husband, John Utz, and her husband, George Volsky. Friends are invited to view her tribute on YouTube. At Olive's request there will be no funeral, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Cats Meow Rescue & Adoption Center, 126 43rd Ave, Vero Beach, Florida, 32968.

My Dad introduced me to George and Olive shortly after he purchased the old Driscoll Farm in Windsor. They were warm and wonderful people. On one visit, I admired one of Olive's paintings, and she gave it to me! It hangs in the old farmhouse still. I recall her colorful paintings behind the bar in Boyle's place.
My sincere sympathies to Peter and Robin.
