I remember going to his art gallery when I was a child and then meeting him again when he and his wife were expecting a child. The last time I saw him was in 2000, when he came to Brooklyn to attend my nephew's Bar-Mitzva I also remember meeting him for the first time when I was 2 yrs. old at his Aunt Anna's farm in Vineland, N.J. I wish his son Jason would contact me.

I just learned of Cousin Lenny's passing, he will be missed on our planet earth. Lenny was a humanitarian, a believer in human rights, especially that of woman's rights. He was a 21st century man who lived most of his 100 years in the 20th century.
I will always remember the two times Lenny slept over at his cousin Sayde's house and he and I would stay up to all hours of the morning talking about politics, philosophy, life and people. He was a very progressive thinker and made the world a better place.
If Jason happens to read this please feel free to reach out to cousin Michael and Sayde at [email protected] we would very much like to hear from you.
Lenny was a true Renaissance man and will be remembered fondly by the thousands of lives he touched, he will be missed.

Leonard will be missed.
Over the last 20 years we enjoyed many fine enlightening conversations with him.
At home we have a lovely charcoal drawing Leonard created of his son about 45 years ago. This beautiful art resembled our late son Jordy so we purchased it in 2010.
Leonard was way ahead of his time. He believed in civil rights for all before it was fashionable. He spoke eloquently on many issues.

Thinking of all who were fortunate enough to meet Leonard over his ten decades of living on earth (counting from when he grew in his mother Sophie's womb and as the son of Isador, if memory serves).
Today would have been his 100th birthday, something he looked forward to in part so he could share his wisdom 'officially as someone who made it to that landmark age.'
May he be in our hearts as we remember him telling stories of his life, special people (each with their signature face) and times in many places, yet especially doing so fondly of the Berkshires..when it wasn't too cold.
Thanks to the many Toastmaster friends who joined in celebrating his 95th at the Co-op and at meetings along the way. Peace and love to all his fans and family, Catherine
