My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring. May the God of all comfort grant you peace and strength during this difficult time.

Edna and me are cousins and she is about 8 years older than me. I remember when I was very young she lived with us for a short time in our apartment in Manhattan and was very close to my mother who was also named Edna. At that time and also at other times when we visited she always was kind and generous to me and my family along with her husband , Tom. Another thing that stands out in my mind is both Tom and Edna visiting us in NY after they got engaged . My mother and father and brother were there also and I still remember how happy they were and what a great couple they made together. Tom was a great guy , always joking and making you feel at home. He was a great husband and father.
