DOHERTY, Barbara K. (Durkin) Of North Reading, formerly of Somerville, passed away Nov. 29th at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late John P. Doherty. Loving mother of Maryann Garbarino and her husband Richard of New Hampshire; William T. Doherty of New Hampshire; James R. Doherty and his wife Susan of Virginia; Jeanne M. Dixon and her husband Daniel of North Reading and Maureen G. Doherty of Reading. Grandmother of seven and great-grandmother of one. Devoted daughter of the late Joseph P. and Catherine (Naughton) Durkin. Sister of the late Mary (Mae), Joseph, Bernard and Paul Durkin. Predeceased by a son, John P. Doherty Jr., in infancy. Beloved sister-in-law of Loretta (Doherty) Durkin of Maryland, Anne (Doherty) Richardson and her husband Fred of Pembroke and Richard Doherty and his wife Mary (O'Donnell) Doherty, Norman Doherty, Margaret (Hickey) Doherty and Mary (Vesey) Doherty all of Charlestown and the late Joseph and Peggy (Birmingham) Doherty and Theodore Doherty. Also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation and memorial service at the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St. (corner of Park St. and Rte. 28), NORTH READING, at Reading line on Saturday, Dec. 10th from 10 am to 1 pm Interment immediately following at Riverside Cemetery, North Reading.
