MONAHAN, Daniel Leo "D. Leo" Of Belmont, March 27, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Stella (Frechette). Loving father of Rita Monahan-Earley and her husband Charles of Arlington, Mary Reed and her husband Tommie of Texas, Gail Monahan of Belmont, and the late Stella Monahan LeDoux. Beloved grandfather of Kathleen and C. Daniel Leo Earley, and Daniel and Mary Reed. Also survived by his five great grandsons, and many nieces and nephews. Brother of the late Bob Monahan. Late WWII Navy Veteran. Honored member of the National Hockey League Hall of Fame. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., (Rt.60, adjacent to St. Agnes Church) ARLINGTON on Tuesday at 9 am. Funeral Mass at The Sacred Heart Church, Watertown at 10 am. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 pm. Burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Watertown. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the South Boston Sports Scholarship Trust Fund, Attn: Fredy Ahern, P.O. Box 236, S. Boston MA 02127. My heartfelt condolence's to Leo's family. I remain forever greatful for the help extended to me when my life was upside down. He helped me get right size and steared me to life second to none. God bless you Leo my friend till we meet again.

Gail and family, I will never, ever, ever, forget Leo. I was so proud to work for him. I looked forward every day to seeing him and listening to all his stories over the years. I have missed him for years and will always hold a special place in my heart for him.
