I met George the winter of `83-`84 when he was 32 years old. I attended his one-week winter `painting intensive´ at Mt. Holyoke College. I had just begun oil painting in Mexico months before. George was very supportive of my painting and got it like almost no one did. For 30 years I´ve remembered that he was a Pisces like me. He responded to my subjectivity with color. Once he turned my small self-portrait upside down and admired it like that. He asked me if he could have it and I gave it to him. I am still an artist and active painter. I only discovered his death when I looked him up in Boston, June 2023. I am saddened by this. His support for my budding desire to be an artist has been with me always. May his memory be a blessing. Thank you, George.

George was a great guy and I liked him a lot. My class at Mass Art was tough on him and he took it well. He always tried to stay in the big picture which is a gift not many have. Thank you George. well done. Sincerely, Jay Clifford MFA Mass Art 2000 [email protected]

My heart is heavy. George was a teaching colleague and friend. I know I'll remember most our ad hoc talks in the hallways after critiques where George would share one more artists to check out and, often, something new to wonder about. He was smart, generous, gentle and kind.

I am so sorry to hear this sad news. I was a colleague of George's at MassArt and worked with him at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown and in Boston. We spoke recently at an opening in the South End. My deepest sympathy to all of his family.

George was a wonderful man, artist, teacher, colleague. I was so very sad to learn of his passing, and I send sincere condolences to his family and close friends and associates. I will miss him at art openings, talks and events as I always looked forward to seeing him. He was thoughtful, humble, genuine and a talented person on so many levels. I loved his smile and the twinkle in his eye. His light will shine for a long, long time. R.I.P. George Creamer, Presente!

I send my deepest condolences to George's wife and children as well as to my step sisters and step brother: Anne, Betsy, Connie, Tom and Anne. I first met George in North Pomfret when he was 14 and we became skiing buddies at Killington during my high school years. I was immediately impressed by George's natural athletic prowess in so many sports. Yet he was never boastful and his great sense of humor was always present. We often shared an upstairs bedroom at the Pomfret house when we were visiting or parents and would stay up talking way too late. We lost touch when I went off to Colorado College and then moved to the West Coast after graduate school. But I will always love and remember George for the kind person and free spirit he was.
