MARY E. SYRJALA

1941 - 2021

SYRJALA, Mary E. Age 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Cape Cod Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Frederic J. Syrjala, with whom she shared many loving years of marriage. Born in White Plains, NY on September 21, 1941, she was a daughter of the late James and Elizabeth D'Wolf. Mary attended Bates College, where she received a Bachelor's Degree. She went on to spend her career working as an Insurance Agent for Liberty Continental, and later at Warsaw Insurance. Prior to her retirement, she most recently worked for Dowling & O'Neil insurance in Hyannis. In her spare time, Mary enjoyed playing golf and spending time with her husband, Fred. She is survived and will be deeply missed by her husband Frederic J. Syrjala of Centerville, and a brother James D'Wolf of Delaware, as well as many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her sisters Jean Gronquist, and Dorothy Hallan. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 24th from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Hyannisport Club, 2 Irving Ave., Hyannisport, MA 02647.
