Jolynne - I am the daughter of one of Pat and Leon's best friends, Evelyn Goldberg - and my aunt Charlotte (Green) was very close to them also. I've been trying to find Pat. How can I contact her? I'd love to send her a card from my sister and I. If you read this, could you send me a note with a mailing address for Pat? I was so sorry to hear about Leon last year. My parents passed away many years ago, and I always sent Pat a birthday card and a christmas card. It came back to me, and I've been searching ever since. Please either send her my love, or send me a mailing address for her. And thank you.

Pat and everyone - I just came across this online. I'm so sorry about Leon. He was so wonderful, and I miss you both. I got your xmas card back, and I have been worried ever since. Please say hi to Matthew - I was the person he collected periwinkles on the beach with...
Please drop me a note some time and let me know how you are.
Love you very much, Susan Goldberg

Matt,
I spent so much time at your house when we were kids. Your Dad was always very gracious, generous, and kind. My thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time. He was a great Dad.

Dear Pat & Family,
We are so sorry that we missed the service, we just heard of Lee's passing today.
Shirley was sharing some stories with me and I know that she regrets that due to health issues and unaware of where you moved to, that you've lost touch over the past years.
Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
With Love,

Leon's Saturday morning breakfast advice re calmly addressing problems, and prideful updates regarding members of his family, will be sorely missed.
It seemed "deja vu" as I heard daughters, sons and inlaws versions of the same incidents and stories Leon had conveyed.
Each from a difference perspective - but burgeoning with the same love, affection and respect.

I saw this poem:
Dad - We little knew that afternoon that God would call your name.
In life we loved you dearly; in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone, for part of us went with you, the day God call you home.
You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always by our side.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

Dearest Aunt Patty and Cousins,
Words are inadequate to express my heartfelt sorrow over the loss of Leon. Each time I had the privilege to visit my Uncle Leon, and his wonderful family in Massachusetts, from kindergarten age to post-doctorate, I was immeasurably touched and enriched by his sensitivity, brilliance, humor, wisdom, insight, generosity, joie de vivre, thoughtfulness, kindness and love. He will remain my role model on how to be an exceptional parent and magnificent human being. I send my love, respect and deepest sympathies.

Dear Pellows family,
I was sad to learn of Leon's death. I have such fond memories as a kid growing up with Matt and all the great and crazy times we had. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. The world just lost a great guy.

I have wandered far,
Under old star light.
Keepers of wishes,
Silent listener,
Always there to guide me home.
Tonight the path is dark,
Beneath a heavy mist.
My face is damp,
The color gone,
This place engulfed in shadow.
I hope I sighted true,
Before I lost the sky.
A warm hearth,
A wife and child,
Lead me home once more.
I miss you Zadie
