CALVIN HICKS Obituary

Hicks, Calvin L.
August 25, Former Director of Community Collaborations & Program Development at New England Conservatory (NEC) After many years in New York as an activist, journalist and educator he returned to Boston and designed Another Course to College, an alternate high school in the Boston Public School System, taught at the Longy School of Music & brought many collaborative programs to NEC. Calvin Hicks is survived by a daughter Marguerite Hicks Gyewu, son, Calvin Che Hicks, 2 grandchildren relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held 2:pm Sunday, November 17, at the Museum of African History, 46 Joy Street, Boston.

Hello, Calvin was someone I went to and looked forward to helping with figuring out problems and solving them, at the conservatory, Great Human Being , He cared about people,and helping accomplish their goals. Thanks Calvin
