Christopher FITZGERALD Obituary
Born to Joseph and Mary FitzGerald of Wellesley, MA, Chris - a.k.a. "Moose" - lived for travel. He attended Wellesley Public Schools before he nabbed a scholarship at Phillips Exeter Academy, where he forged lifelong friendships. Wanderlust later carried him to Europe, where he took odd jobs after his first college's abrupt closure stranded him abroad. He later earned his master's from the University of California at Berkeley and spent the prime of his career bringing new software to the practice of city planning. Chris had a knack for new languages and adored French. He delighted in learning to whip up a new dish, honing his photography skills or devouring a good novel.
He is survived by his son Drew and Drew's wife Sydney; grandson Ben; siblings Michael, Kevin and Rosemary; and a mountain of nieces and nephews. Donations in his memory can go to the Friends of Springfield Town Library, 43 Main Street, Springfield, VT 05156.
