BITTELARI, John G. Of Watertown, formerly of Cambridge, age 80, passed away peacefully, on November 4, 2025. John was born September 23, 1945, in Bryan, Texas, to George and Carmella (Bonacci) Bittelari. John was a 1963 graduate of Matignon High School in Cambridge, and completed coursework at Massachusetts Bay Community College and Grossmont College. John married Linda (Simard) Bittelari on July 9, 1972. He worked for the Cambridge Department of Public Works, owned three small businesses, and retired as a custodian with the Concord School System. John served his country in the Army from 1967-1970 in the Army band. He was passionate about music throughout his life, working as a musician, and mastering the trumpet, accordion and piano, as well as serving as a Boy Scout Merit Badge counselor for the Music Merit Badge. John was an outstanding athlete, excelling in highly competitive American Legion and Christian Youth Organization baseball leagues, and practicing judo in the Army. John enjoyed reading, cooking, classic movies, and traveling with family. John was a loving husband and father, survived by his wife, Linda; and sons, Ralph and daughter-in-law, Eilin Chiang and Rocco and daughter-in-law, Rebecca (Blacker) Bittelari. Services will be private.
