I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. I live in Colorado and do not know your family. My husband, age 37, also died on Kilimanjaro on October 4th, 2007 from HAPE. He was in law enforcement here in Colorado. My heart goes out to everyone in your family. I do not know the circumstances of Kenneth's death but if there is anyone in the family that would like to contact me please do so. I am sickened to hear that another young person lost their life on this mountain.

Ken. You served your country well. You will be missed, thank you for your service. You lived large and never shot for anything but the best. You are an inspiration to those who are trying to follow in your footsteps.

I am sorry for the loss your family has experienced. I never knew Kenneth but can tell we share the same sense of adventure and travel. I reached the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro on July 2nd of this year and can attest to the determination that drives one to such beauty and tranquility. I hope his sense of adventure and determination live on in all of those he left behind too early. My thoughts are with you and may your cherished memories keep him forever within your hearts.

To the Moskow Family-
I am sorry to hear about Ken's passing. I knew Ken for about 11 years on a professional basis and became friends through business. He always brought out the best in people and expected only excellence in everything that was done. I really appreciated that attribute. Let's keep that trend going in his memory; I know I will.
I really admire everything he did for his country. He was a hero.

As once-fellow Georgetowners with children of the same age, we were shattered to hear of Ken's death; crushed for Shelagh and Samantha, Michaela & Jack, certainly, but also for our generation to lose such a bright light. You are all very much in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Moskow Family,
Growing up with Ken through high school and then catching up with him every so often in Harvard Square during college, what I remember best is his ever ready smile and his genuineness. These are rare qualities in any person and Ken had them in large supply. I hope they will live on in your hearts and minds and buoy you up to live life as fully as I'm sure he would wish for.

Dear Moskow Family,
I am so sad to hear the news of Ken's passing. I was wondering around Watertown, Ma. yesterday in a funk thinking about what had happened and telling my friends how sad a loss it is... every single person I mentioned it to knew of him, personally or through friends! Clearly Ken impacted a lot of people's lives. I didn't know Ken well, mainly through my brother, Nat, but I have clear memories of how he lived life to the fullest. He is a model for all of us... live in the moment, and take it all in! If there is anything you need in the coming months, don't hesitate to reach out. All my best, Lisa Cohen

Dear Shelagh and Moskow family - words are inadequate to express our sorrow. I join all of Ken's friends in feeling shocked and stunned, with an acute sense of loss. I have spent the last days telling my children about this hero's life and passing, hoping to inspire them to make the most of their own lives. We will continue to mourn and celebrate Ken's life. My condolences to you.

Johanna and I express our deepest condolences to Shelagh, the children and the entire Moskow family. As word of Ken's passing spreads, his friends are just stunned; our memories are of exuberance, energy, enthusiasm -- combined with his integrity and patriotism. My friendship with Ken started on a road trip in Turkish-occupied Cyprus in the 80s; we met again in Hong Kong and then with his family in Washington not so long ago. Last night I was speaking with Glenn Carle, our mutual friend, about how there was so much to Ken that new reasons to like him kept surfacing over the years. Ken's biggest professional secret was that he was a great surfer; I'll make a special tribute tomorrow when I head to the Atlantic Coast.

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Moskow
The shocking news that we've lost Ken stopped me in my tracks today... I am grateful for many things in the past 47 years. Ken's friendship and sense of adventure; (not to mention his ability to break up a 3 on 1 for a shaky, but well intentioned JV goal tender), are memories I will always treasure. I send my sincere condolences to Shelagh, Samantha, Michaela and Jack. And I send my thanks to you both as well as Keith, Cliff, Carla, and Ken?s BB&N family for sharing such a great life with me. I regret that I will be out of town and unable to attend Ken's services. I will keep each of you and Ken in my thoughts, prayers and future adventures.
Sincerely,
David Drake

To Shelagh and the entire Moskow family, please accept my condolences for this sudden and perplexing loss. May joyful memories of Ken's life, pride in his record of service to others and the embrace of his many friends help replace the deep sorrow you must now feel.
Ken's ability to wrap a smile and a laugh around great ambition and tremendous hard work has inspired many of us to see the very difficult as entirely possible. This spirit is very much alive in all of us who had the privilege to know him. To me, he will always be a terrific teammate and a loyal friend.

To Shelagh, Keith and the entire Moskow family who I know will miss Ken dearly. There was not a better person to have known than Ken, who lit up a room and touched all in his presence. Shelagh, I remember meeting you on the Island Queen that day with all the kids running around and thinking how lucky you and Ken were to have each other. I am so sorry to be traveling out of state this weekend because I would really like to have been at Ken's service. My deepest condolences to all.
