IRWIN MARGOLIS Obituary
Of Brockton, age 84, June 20, at his residence. Navy veteran of WWI; Advertising Director of Knapp Shoe in Brockton for many years. Irwin was the beloved husband of 60 years to Rita (Schiff) Margolis, loving father of Marci L. and her husband Norman Goldstein of Scarsdale, NY, Hildy L. Margolis of Brockton and Cory M. Margolis and his wife Jacque of Manhattan, grandfather of Cody, Chelsea, Cassidy and Mason, brother of Arthur Margolis of FL and Merton Morse of Salem, MA. Graveside services will be held Thursday (TODAY) at 1:00 in the Children of Israel Cemetery, Middle Rd. Haverhill. Memorial period will follow from 4-6 pm on Thursday at his residence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the donor's choice. www.farmerfuneralhomes.com

My first job out of high school was at Knapp Shoe around 40 years ago. After being there alittle while, I was offered a promotion as Irwin's Secretary. What a wonderful, kind and understanding man he was! He had such a great love and pride in his family. He took me and his young assistant under his wing and taught us how to go from "youngsters" to young women in the working world. Neither of us were prepared for the future, but he did his best to bring out the best in us. My deepest sympathy to you all ~ Irwin was a wonderful man. I hope his retirement years made him happy, as he deserved them.
