As a mom with children who had learning disabilities, I feel your pain. May your daughter's memories help to soothe all your grief, pain, devastation, shock, heartbreak and disbelief. Cindy, om of Gus 32,Fred 31 and the late Franie May, my first born and only daughter, born 22 August 1977 and passed away the 30th of October 2010. Frankie May and Anne, RIP love and always rememerbed, your families, friends and all those caregivers who enjoyed caring for you.

I am blessed to have met Annie. Rett Syndrome did not win with Annie. Annie's personality pushed beyond its bounds. Her life was lived well because she was well loved. My condolences.

Dear Dr. Haffenreffer, I was casually reading today's obituaries and I was fortunate enough to read Anne's. It sounds to me as if you did everything a father could do for his child. As far as making her life better - how could she ask for more? She had a loving father. It sounds to me that made YOUR life better - God Bless your family

Visiting Annie was always a highlight of coming into her class. She was a true source of light and joy. From her amazing red hair to her funky sunglasses, she had a style all her own. My deepest condolences to your family.
