I heard just in the last few months of Joes passing. Him and me went to Radioman school in the late 70's. He breezed through Morse Code that so many struggled with. Then again in the early 90's we were both stationed at D1 were he was the Security Manager. He was a hard charger for sure and you always knew were you stood with Joe. R. I. P. Coastie?

I was deeply saddened to find out about the death of Joe. He had such a powerful impact on my CG career. Chief Cipollo (CGC Tahoma) was the absolute best leader/mentor I ever worked for! Karen you were also very important to me in my young career. Your loving support of Joe and welcoming of me into your home meant so much to me. Over the last 25+ years I have told many wonderful stories about both of you and have tried to help other young coasties as you both did for me.
My deepest sympathy and sincere gratitude.

I was stationed with Joe at the Coast Guard Radio station in guam in 1981-1982 . I lost contact with him over the years, but I did remember him well. He was a straight arrow. He kept up the morale of the people with his wicked sense of humor. I will miss him but see him again as he wings his way to the next world. God Bless him and the family. carl stefan, tampa florida

So sorry for your loss. Joe meant a lot to me as a young professional getting my feet wet in the IT world. He never hesitated to take time out to be a mentor. I think he took great pride in that role, and he was great at it. Joe's presence made me look forward to the work day ahead. There was always something to learn from Joe, whether technical, or handling a vendor relationship. He will be sorely missed.

Joe was an amazing person to connect with here at Bain Capital. He always made me stop and take a moment to relax before the start of a hectic day. It was amazing to listen to how much he loved his family. So much so that I felt like I knew a little something about everyone. Most importantly, he always told it like it was. There was no mincing of words or beating around the bush. He was one of the most "real" people I had ever had a chance to know and I'm devastated by his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I will miss his stories and his laugh. We were N.Shore/S.Shore rivals but agreed we were Jeepers to the core. I remember how happy he was when he got his. The office won't be the same without him. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
