Another Readville original gone to soon.... There's not to many people that you know all of your life...Wally was one of those people....I always knew when I visited Cappys and stayed long enough I would see Wally and catch up on family, politics and Aruba... I'll miss not seeing him....Rest easy Wally...

Wallys passing leaves us with a heavy heart but he also leaves us a great feeling because his spirit and memory will always be with us. His legacy will be of friendship,laughter,mentor to young men (hockey coach),family man,and great stories of his travels.He leaves a great family behind,but he came from a great family when he was growing up in Readville.
My brother Steve and I have known Wally since the 1960's, we grew up with him, his brothers and his sisters.We've had Readville as a connection and common theme all our lives.He has been a wonderful friend to my brother and myself.
He influenced me to vacation in Aruba with his interesting stories about the island.I had the fortune to join him in 2010 when Wally, Eileen and friends were there,the pictures and memories of that time will make me think of Wally.
He was Americn Legion post 458 Commander during the early 1970,s and to us guys from Cappy's he'll always be the "Commander" or just plain Uncle Wally.
To everyone in his family we send our heartfelt sorrow and deepest sympathy.
You will be missed my friend.

I worked many years with Walter in accounting at the Post Office, he was always a funny guy. He made the place a nice place to be. I was just asking/ looking for him on FB, my deepest condolences to his family. I am very sad to hear of his passing.

Eileen and Walters Family I am so sorry to hear of Walters passing. I worked with him many years at the GMF Boston. He was always great to talk to and we always had alot of laughs. I am so sorry, sure he's mixing it up in Heaven. RIP Walter xoxoxo ❤
